I'm a granddaughter of a Veteran, daughter of a Veteran, sister of a Veteran, and a wife of a Veteran so Veterans Day has always been special to me.  It's a day to say thank you though I believe we should say thank you all the time.

I remember years ago we were eating at a restaurant and my husband was in his uniform.  The waiter at the end of our meal said it has been paid for by a family who wants to thank my husband for his service.  I have to tell you that I saw my husbands eyes tear up along with mine.  Living in a military town we are surrounded by our heroes all the time and that is one of the many reasons why I love living here.

There are some deals for our Veterans and please make sure they are participating locations.
