Gov. Newsom: Major Banks Will Defer Mortgage Payments

The CoVid-19 pandemic has hit us hard. Many people have lost their jobs due to it, and it's left many Californians worried about how they're going to make their mortgage payments.

Well, Governor Newsom announced some big news that will help with that. He announced on Wednesday night that Wells Fargo, US Bank, Citi, and JP Morgan Chase have agreed to give 90-day waivers on all residential mortgage payments in California. About 200 other credit unions and state charter banks will also issue waivers. Bank of America has agreed to a defer mortgage payments by 30-days.
