Dorothy's Wedding Wednesday: I Need a Videographer

Less than 3 months to go....

April 18, 2018

The countdown is on for real! 86 days to go until our wedding and here's what I have locked in:

-venue (Marina Village)

-caterer (Avian's House Catering)

-hair & make-up (Beauty Collective Co.)

-photographer (Michael Lawrence Photography)

-DJ (my boy Klifton!!)

-florist (Thanh Thuy Bridal)

The only major thing I haven't booked yet is a videographer. I thought about not having one, but every bride that I've talked to who skipped out on a videographer or just got a "highlight reeel" of their wedding says they wished they splurged and did it. I've been doing a lot of research on wedding videographers and there's one thing I've noticed: there are REALLY good ones (that are real expensive) or REALLY bad ones (that are really cheap), there's no inbetween. You definitely get what you pay for.

Steven and I shoot video, edit, etc, so we know how much hard work  goes into it and how many editing hours it takes to make a great video. I have a lot of friends who are videographers, but they're all invited to the wedding. I want them to be able to enjoy the wedding and not have to work. So the hunt is still on....

I did find a videographer that I really liked, but they're a bit out of our price range. I really want them to shoot our wedding, but I need to get Steven to come around on it lol.

If you have any recommendations, please email me ( and let me know!
