This week housed a very important day, one that should be recognized in all its glory, NATIONAL PUG DAY!
Long before we had kids and even before we were married my husband and I brought our first baby home: a furry one named Owen the Pug. He was a quirky dog who loved to eat cigarette butts, Crayons and dryer sheets and barked at the Nasonex Bee every time it buzzed by on TV.
He was with us 10 years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge and we didn’t last more than a few months before we brought the next Pug baby into the family. We realized we are dog people and a house is not a home without s dog. Meet Olive!
Now, two Pugs in, we are officially Pug people! Ok, borderline crazy Pug people. Ok, not-so-borderline. So I couldn’t let the opportunity to recognize their awesomely smooshy faces go by.
So HAPPY NATIONAL PUG DAY! And happy National Whatever-Breed-Dog-You-Have Day too because I’m sure it either just passed or is coming up soon 🙂
