Victor Peoro wanted to take his young daughter to Disney World, but that kind of trip isn’t cheap.
“If you’ve been to Disney World you know it costs $5 for a 16 oz bottle of water, let alone the ticket price,” he quipped on the GoFundMe page he set up to collect donations for the trip.
In exchange for a donation, visitors to the page were treated to something truly adorable and creative – A video of father and daughter riding the “Poor People Roller Coaster.”
The homemade coaster consists of a small bucket (big enough for the toddler to sit in) and a flat screen TV playing a first person POV of a rollercoaster.
Dad flexes his muscles to recreate the feel of the ride as he hoists child and bucket at different angles and vibrations to match the roller coaster footage. The big takeaway here: WHAT AN AWESOME DAD.
“If you enjoyed our video, please think about making the dream come true!” The pitch for Autumns Trip to Disney World concludes.
Within 5 days, the family had surpassed their goal of $3,000. Mr. Peopro updated the page thanking everyone for the overwhelming response to his video, saying that the extra $425 they had collected from the campaign would be put away, to go towards a future trip. He then disabled the donation button on the account, promising to share photos of their trip, which will take place sometime next year.
