Last night around 2:30 a.m. police were called to the investigate a man in downtown San Diego shooting from several different firearms in the area of Fifth Avenue and Cedar Street – the Cortez Hill neighborhood.
The suspect was shooting a shotgun and a mini-rifle while walking the length of two blocks. Witnesses called 911 and officers arrived on the scene.
SDPD caught up with and apprehended the man with no incident and said he did not appear to be intoxicated. The man was holding a shotgun and was also carrying a rifle and ammunition when police approached, guns drawn.
It is reported that the man is a resident of the neighborhood in which the incident took place, though there has been no motive given for the incident, ABC 10 News reports.
No one was injured and no property was damaged during the incident.
The man faces multiple charges, including negligent discharge of a firearm.
