We all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I hope you all did too. I was thinking about how thankful I am to have what I have: to have a job, to have a pretty healthy family, To have a roof over our heads, and clothes, to have a car, to have the ability to smile and say “thank you” and “I love you,” to even have a person or pet to love– Just so darn blessed.
This was up in Reed’s class… I thought it was cute. I just only saw it yesterday. It’s funny that he said “Masterchef” 🙂
Last week Robert was killing time at the beach and was determined to get on TV — KUSI. Well, he succedded. Oh brother…such a child 🙂 Gotta love it though.
The morning before we went to Thanksgiving at my sister’s, we went to the zoo. If you are ever there, walking past the hippo’s, and then crossing the bridge over the otters and monkeys, there’s a plaque honoring my grandparents, by the glass at the end of otters. It’s always cool to see it and to have a little moment with them. They loved the zoo so much.
After the zoo, we went to breakfast. You must try this adorable place called Toby’s 19th Hole Cafe. It’s attached to the Balboa Municipal Golf Course, near the zoo and Balboa Park. The view is gorgeous and the food and servers make you feel like your Aunties are cooking for you!
This is us at Thanksgiving — Me on the left, then sister, momma, my niece, Brits, and my dad. He’s so funny 🙂
After dinner, we walked to Garrison Street in Point Loma. It’s a tradition.
Then, on Friday, we had a onesie party 🙂 Those things are so stinking comfortable!
This is my niece Maddie with Reed. They look like brother and sister so much!
Robert and Reed did work in the yard on Sunday. Robert is such a hard worker and it totally rubs off on Reed.
I am a little bit light-crazy!! I put them everywhere in the house too. I am almost done with the outside and will post when I’m done! I got that cool curtail lights on Amazon. They trickle down, and there are like five different light-show settings. It’s so cool! It was only like $17 for 9-feet wide string.
And finally, I made this wood board with chalk board paint, red and gold spray and acrylic paint. I’m going to stand it up, out front, and change the days with chalk every day with Reed 🙂
Thanks so much for letting me share and for all of your nice, thoughtful comments and emails. I love hearing from you.
