Christina Perri, known for songs like “Jar of Hearts” and “A Thousand Years”, has collaborated with To Write Love On Her Arms,  a non-profit group dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.

Perri wrote the song “I Believe” with the group in mind, and performed it at the To Write Love On Her Arms – Heavy and Light Tour.

After performing it at the concert, it had such an effect on her that she added it to her latest album, Head Or Heart.  When ask about the song’s inspiration, Perri says “people ask me all the time what I would say to the younger version of myself if I had the chance. I tell them every single affirmation in I Believe“.

The song has also led to a collaboration with TWLOHA in the form of a t-shirt.  On the front of the shirt are the words, “Hold On, I Am Still Alive”, and on the back “this is not the end of me, this is the beginning”, along with the lyrics printed behind it.  You can buy the shirt on the group’s website.
