Thieves broke the window at the UTC Apple Store, in a smash & grab, and ran off with a bunch of iPhones!  It happened early one day at about 4:20am.  Full story HERE.  Who says the iPhone isn’t still in demand?

You know Market Pantry is Target’s house brand.  Their ketchup came out as good as the big name ketchup in taste tests.  We typically buy the private brand of unsalted butter at the market close to our house, and I cannot tell the difference.  Bottom line:  the store versions of many products are just as good, if not better – and they are usually quite a bit less expensive.  There are a few major brands that came out on top too.  Find out who they are HERE.

While you are leaving work and driving home, I am playing a full hour – yes 60 minutes – of non-stop music on the KyXy All Music Hour.  Actual time is approx. 4:50 to 5:50pm.  Some of the people I’ll feature today are Keith Urban, Marvin Gaye, Katy Perry, Creed, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, and Lady Antebellum.  Traffic updates too!  Tune in 96.5FM for nothin’ but music when you’re driving home from a hard day at work.  I’ll be here to help you get home!

First on the list:  Have a second cup of coffee – it could reduce your risk of diabetes.  Another tip:  think before you drink – avoid sweet drinks that have a lot of calories.  More small adjustments to your diet that will help you lose weight - and stay healthy – HERE

John Mayer dedicated his Houston concert on Sunday night (September 5th) to 17-year-old Micayla Patterson, who died in a car crash on her way home from his show in Springdale, Arkansas last week. John wrote on his Tumblr blog, “I’m sitting in my dressing room in Houston, having just read the terrible news. My heart and thoughts go out to Micayla’s family and her friends.” more

School is back in session! Time to think about the amazing  yet almost impossible job teachers have. Famous thank you quotes for teachers are very popular to use in thank you notes and cards for teacher appreciation week. Another idea is to attach a famous teacher appreciation quote to a teacher thank you gift.

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell, where his influence stops.
Henry B. Adams

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.

You won’t find this beer at the San Diego Beer Festival this Friday!

Wow, I hope Hillary didn’t dress like that while interviewing for the Secretary of State job. Turning up to a job interview in a tight top or with cleavage on display is the quickest way for a woman not to get the job, according to research. The next biggest dress-code mistake is a black bra underneath a white top. The research also showed that men ruin their prospects most often by turning up in a badly ironed shirt, high-waisted pants or comedy tie. The survey of 2,000 employers also found that a third of bosses make a decision in the first 90 seconds of an interview. (Daily Mail)
